Take Me Out To The Ballgame
I know I should probably turn in my mom badge for the following reason. I have never taken my almost ten year old son to a baseball game. Shameful, I know. What is even worse is that we live a mere twenty five minutes from The Ballpark in Arlington, home of the Texas Rangers.
To rectify this dreadful situation, I am planning an outing with my son to ye old ballpark. The problem I face is that I haven't exactly kept up with all things baseball in recent years. I am pretty much a novice and because I want this to be both a fun and an educational experience, I need to get educated myself. I want to make baseball picks like I've been doing it all my life.
I've discovered the forums at addictsports.com can really bring me up to speed on baseball chatter - scoops on the players, current happenings, trade rumors, history of the game, and trivia.
I know I can't completely fool my son but at least now when he goes to his first baseball game, he won't be embarrassed by his mom shouting for our team to kick a field goal.
