Democrats and Economic Policy
While discussing the economic policy of the presidential candidates, a friend said to me, "The Democrats would be more honest if they referred to themselves as the Socialist Party."
He was surprised when I disagreed with him.
Actually, I think the policies being promoted by the candidates of the Democratic Party are inferior to those of a pure Socialism.
Consider the following definitions.
Fascism: You have two cows. The government takes both of them and sells you the milk!
Socialism: You have two cows. The government takes one of them and gives it to your neighbor.
Communism: You have two cows. The government takes both of them and gives you a little milk.
Nazism: You have two cows. The government takes both of them and shoots you.
Capitalism: You have two cows. You sell one of them and buy a bull.
Bureaucracy: You have two cows. The government takes both of them, shoots one, milks the other, then pours the milk down the drain.
Socialism: You have two cows. The government takes one of them and gives it to your neighbor.
Communism: You have two cows. The government takes both of them and gives you a little milk.
Nazism: You have two cows. The government takes both of them and shoots you.

Bureaucracy: You have two cows. The government takes both of them, shoots one, milks the other, then pours the milk down the drain.
I believe that the economic policies promoted by the Democratic presidential candidates will not only hamper American productivity and be a mockery of justice, but will result in an ungodly waste of American resources.
Thus, if Democrats were to go through a name change, I believe The Bureaucratic Party to be the best descriptive term.
